S'MORES

My two favorite things when it comes to food: things that taste good and are easy =)
Tonights New Years Eve Recipe... more of a snack and not much to it..
*Semi sweet chocolate chips *Pillsbury croissants *marshmallows
Literally roll out croissants, put a few chips and marshmallows on it and bake!!!

Another year has come and gone

It is freaky just how fast time has been flying by. I have heard the older you get the faster it goes, and then add kids to it and time will go even fasterrrr...scary. 2012 was a great year and I have so much fun thinking back to the year and some of its highlights..
*My niece turned 1, her bday party was fun and overwhelming. There were a ton of people there who love her so, so much and seeing the collages made of her first year made me so sad, the year went so fast, but the older she gets the more fun she is, I love watching her learn and she recognizes me more and more and I love the interaction with her.
*Our beach vacation with Meg and Ray to North Carolina... we have been doing a beach trip with them each summer for the past few years and we always have so much fun. I hope we can continue the tradition even after the baby is here.
*Finding out I was pregnant..<3 one of the best days of my life.
*Taylors bachelorette party.. there is nothing better to me then the beach and your best friends. We had so much fun goofing off, hanging out at Seacrets and dancing our butts off at Party block.. this was my first real taste of a no drinking hangout with the girls in a very long time and it was awesome, my girls are hysterical.
*Dave and Taylors wedding- this was special for a ton of reasons.. first off, it is not everyday that your brother in law gets married to someone who happens to be one of your best friends.. it was awesome to officially be able to call ourselves sisters. Secondly, just seeing how happy Dave was, having been with Dan for almost 5 years now it was a really good feeling to see how far Dave has come in 5 years and how happy Dan was for him too.
*My first full year of working in real estate. I LOVE my job. This has been the first time in my life where I have felt truly like I am in a field that is perfect for me.
*Our first year of being married. It had its ups, its downs...and with it all, it was so special knowing that no matter what, I had my best friend by my side forever.

2013 is going to be amazing and I am so excited and am feeling so, so blessed!!!

Christmas for two

Merry Christmas everyone! I cannot believe another holiday has come and gone. As you get older, it seems the holidays change more and more... it doesn't hit home the way it used to. This holiday has been special and different because with my niece Isabella, we are getting the opportunity to live the holidays, and really to live life, through her eyes. There is nothing more amazing then the excitement a child has while he/she is getting to know the world around them.. the traditions.. the time with family... building memories is what it is all about and I am so happy to have Izzy around to remind us of that.
Sunday we had brunch with Dans mom, brother and our sister in law. It was a fun, chill morning which didn't start until a bit later in the day which was nice since we had Chris' bday celebrations the night before. I am really glad Dans parents work with us as far as spreading out holiday celebrations because I am not sure how we would manage it with a baby. Christmas eve we spent with my moms side of the family at my parents house. If there is one thing EVERYONE knows about me it is how wild my moms side of the family is lol. There is no one quite like a Krebs, we work hard, play hard and love hard. There is absolutely no judgment and we tend to spend the evening laughing til we cry. This holiday was no different as my brother gave us some good quotes, my mom may or may not have done some booty shaking and I found my belly hurting from too much laughter and caught myself a few times wondering how loud I was for the baby lol. After my parents we went to James and Erica's house with a few friends and we spent the evening playing 'Cards against humanity' and again with the laughter.. I surround myself with a lot of funny people.
Today I woke up earlier than Dan so after feeding Riley I let her do one of her favorite things ever, wake Dan up LOL... she jumps in bed, rolls around like a crazy person and barks her brains out.. this wakes us both up better than any alarm clock ever could. We then went to my parents where we made some egg nog baked French toast.. It was pretty good, if interested check out my pinterest.. I have it pinned on my "yummy" board. We opened presents with the fam which is fun and this year came complete with a pair of Hannukah boxers for Dan lol. We then went to my Aunt Josephines and spent time with my dads side of the family.
I told Dan I hope our next house is big enough we can pile everyone into it and have one HUGE holiday.
I hope everyone had a great holiday!! Ours was FAB and EXHAUSTING!

New Beginnings

I have played around with this whole blog thing before without success. Sometimes I wonder am I the type of person who is interested enough to have a blog?? As life has handed me an abundance of new and exciting things I have found that a place to vent, to discuss and to entertain is exactly what I need... so my friends, here is to new beginnings.
The holidays are here and with that comes a ton of food, family and friends which happen to be 3 of my all time favorite things. I am enjoying guiltless cookies, baked French toast, my moms cooking, etc.. baby girl and I are LOVING it.
